The world renowned soprano, Dame Emma Kirkby, will be performing in concert at St. Dunstan’s Church, Mayfield on Saturday 30th September 2023 at 7.30pm. During her 40 year career she has been internationally acclaimed as one of the foremost sopranos of the modern era (and was voted by a panel of critics in BBC Music Magazine as one of the twenty greatest sopranos) and in 2011 she was awarded the Queen’s Medal for Music. Throughout her career Dame Emma has specialised in the performance of early music and has featured on over 100 recordings.

In this concert, Dame Emma reunites with Jack Gonzalez-Harding and other period instrumentalists of international standard to perform Handel’s Nine German Arias alongside works by Dowland and Bach.

Opportunities to attend events of this calibre outside of the major music venues do not come along that often so this is a concert that is not to be missed.
