Bach Advent Cantatas

A Choral Meditation for Advent

St Dunstan's Choir
Sunday 12 December 2021, 7.30pm St Dunstan’s Church, Mayfield £10 (half-price for under-18s) Book now

St. Dunstan’s Parish Church Choir and the Mayfield Baroque Orchestra come together to perform excerpts from J. S. Bach’s Advent Cantatas for soloists, chorus and orchestra. The music will be interspersed with reflections, readings and poetry that reference Advent as both a time of expectation for the Second Coming of Christ and a season of penitence and reflection to precede the celebrations of Christmas. So why not put a date in your personal advent calendar to escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and make some time to enjoy wonderful contemplative music in the beautiful setting of St. Dunstan’s Church, Mayfield?

The concert starts at 7.30pm and the doors open at 7.00pm.
